Carneiro accuses Montenegro of having gone into the “arms of the far right”

Carneiro also regrets that the Prime Minister is focused on the country's "virtual problems" and not on its real ones.

In his speech this morning at the opening of the National Committee of the Socialist Party , the first since he was elected secretary-general of the PS, José Luís Carneiro considered that the AD government “misinterpreted the election results” and recalled what Luís Montenegro said about populists “destroying democracy”.

The PS leader contested that, "in the first move it made in parliament", the AD government went into the "arms of the extreme right", referring to the changes to the immigration and nationality law.
